Loch Mór Dál gCais –  Summer Academy 17th, 18th & 19th of August 2016

What a great event for Loch Mór hurling and camogie. We held our award-winning Hurling and Camogie Academy again from Wednesday to Friday, 10am-2pm. It was a fantastic event, attended by 120 young players, for some their very first time holding a hurl.

There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the Academy and plenty of expertise on show from players and coaches alike. It was great to see Ruairi Convery, and his skills pay us a visit, a special mention to him and to our younger coaches, who provided valuable coaching to their younger club-mates.

On the final day each child was presented with a new hurl and the day finished with kids and coaches and demolishing a well prepared and very tasty barbeque

Massive thanks to thanks to Naomh Séamus Clg for the use of their pitch and club rooms. It wouldn’t have been possible without their generosity. #GAAisFamily

This year has been yet another huge success for our club & it’s all thanks to every one of the Loch Mór community who, as usual, have proven that we can anything we put our mind to. I’ll leave the last word to one of our Camogie/Hurling moms…

Massive thanks to thanks to Naomh Séamus Clg for the use of their pitch and club rooms. It wouldn’t have been possible without their generosity. had a ball and without coaches and parents giving up their time it wouldn’t have been such a success – well done all and thank you from the McKevitt gang.” Bernie
